Volkl VTA 88 lite 2018/2019
Same as the VTA 88 Lite with specially shaped tips, a special wood core, and 3D.Ridge construction, but with only 80 mm waist width the ski only weighs an amazing 1010 g @ 170 cm and delivers maximum climbing capability for lighter alpine touring skiers. But it‘s still designed by Völkl - we focused not just the weight, but the weight per surface area, designing a ski that offers the best skiing experience with the most climbing efficiency. Like all VTA models, it features the added advantage of the ICE.OFF topsheet, designed to keep snow and ice from adhering to the topsheet to keep the lightest possible setup.

3D.RIDGE TECHNOLOGY  It has become a symbol of VÖLKL lightweight construction. The distinctive characteristic of this technology is a raised central ridge that sharply levels out toward the edge, both in front of and behind the binding. This reduces the inertial mass around the fulcrum to a minimum and significantly enhances the agility of the ski. At the same time, the center ridge allows for a precise dimensioning of the hardness distribution, which leads to an especially harmonious flex on the ski. Despite the weight savings, the 3D.RIDGE ensures that there is no compromise whatsoever in the ski‘s durability and elasticity. |
